Ricardo Barbosa has an architecture and environmental science background and holds a PhD in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies. He is the head of EU projects at the Porto Energy Agency, where he leads national and European research and innovation projects addressing topics such as energy efficiency, renewable energy integration, local decarbonization, and energy poverty.  His work is located at the interface of applied research, policy design, and large‑scale project implementation.
