About

The Powering Energy Hub is a European Project Development Assistance (PDA) project funded under the LIFE programme, building on the success of the original Porto Energy Hub. One of its core objectives is to replicate a proven technical, legal, and financial advisory model for energy efficiency and renewable energy production interventions across a wider territory. Reflecting this ambition, the project now extends its scope to the entire mainland of Portugal. The Powering Energy Hub also promotes comprehensive typologies of interventions, expanding beyond the residential sector to include commercial and service buildings, public buildings, and infrastructure. So far, around €9 million in investments have been secured with the project support and €17 million more are expected. The project also seeks to develop technical and financial tools and training to enhance energy literacy and support a fair and democratic energy transition.

The consortium brings together the Porto Energy Agency as project coordinator, alongside RdA Climate Solutions, TELLES Advogados, and RNAE – the national Association of Energy and Environment Agencies.
