Magdalena is an officer at the EU Covenant of Mayors office, and senior expert on sustainable energy systems at ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability. She is an energy and transport expert with over 13 years of experience working across European institutions and international organisations, specialising in the just energy transition.  She has extensive experience in shaping and navigating policy processes within the European Commission and the European Parliament, combined with expertise in project coordination, policy analysis, and strategic communications. She coordinated the EU-funded Smart Energy Solutions for Africa (SESA) project, implemented across nine African countries, focusing on energy access solutions and the development of replicable, sustainable business models. Her work spans renewable energy, energy access, energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, and green buildings, with hands-on experience in both European and African contexts. Currently, has contributed to several initiatives advancing inclusive and context-specific energy transition pathways.
