Valentina Cabal is passionate about driving the transition towards a more sustainable and inclusive economy. With over a decade of experience working at the intersection of sustainability, finance, and policy, she has led and advised initiatives across Europe and Latin America that support cities, communities, and businesses in advancing their climate and energy transition goals. Today, she also leads the support programme for cities to develop Investment Concepts under the European City Facility.

Her work focuses on designing and implementing innovative financial mechanisms, developing sustainability strategies, and building partnerships between public institutions, private investors, and local stakeholders. She is particularly interested in how sustainable finance and impact-driven investment can accelerate decarbonisation, scale climate solutions, and create long-term value for both people and the planet.
