About

Moderated by Christophe Milin, CINEA

GiDOMUS accelerates the energy retrofit of residential buildings by expanding the existing DOMUS One-Stop-Shop model into a more comprehensive and financially self-sustaining support service for homeowners. The project combines technical assistance, professional training, citizen awareness-raising, social inclusion measures, and a semi-automated audit tool to improve both reach and operational efficiency. It also aggregates existing local support initiatives and introduces innovative financing approaches, including result-based financing, sponsorship, crowdlending, and improved CAEs accreditation, to strengthen the renovation ecosystem. Through the creation of seven Front Offices in the main cities of Girona province, GiDOMUS will demonstrate a model designed for replication across Catalonia and the rest of Spain. By the end of the project, it is expected to deliver 4.4 GWh/year of primary energy savings, 0.6 GWh/year of renewable energy generation, a reduction of 786 tCO2eq/year, and €11.8 million of investment in sustainable energy.
